Hi Kenzie, I was hoping you might be kind enough to answer a couple of questions for me?
I am asking you because you were the first person kind enough to like and comment on my first piece.
who owns the copyright on the artworks that we produce? also do you know how large the images will print at? without loss of quality?
@Kenzie Cakes sure it's no problem mark what's on your mind?
@Kenzie Cakes I do not know. my assumption is nobody owns the art on site, because it other competing coloring services use many of the
same pieces. I do not know how they print, I've never done it. the art that we import from our galleries ((the majority of stuff colored))
comes from MANY artists. I try to keep the artists signature in the piece, but overall dont worry a lot about it
theres no way to market anything from here, and because the majority of people color the images, it becomes protected in my country. as long
as art is transformed from the original piece, its protected by fair use. that being said, not all pieces here are covered by fair use, but
I doubt anyone would pursue legal actions over the ones that arent being that it's at no cost of the original artist
if you ever want to find out who created a specific image you could always screenshot it, crop the in color parts out, and google the image!
oh ok! I was just wondering if we had the right to sell our creations, even though we are using someone elses sketch. thankyou.
@Kenzie Cakes my assumption is we do, fair use covers anything transformative, and if you can make the argument that you added something
that the piece originally lacked, you could?? but I would ask a lawyer if you plan to use this exclusively. if you want a free digital art
tool, gimp has been considered one of the best since I've been online really. it's free it's simple to use and it should print out at the
quality and dimensions you create it at!
Epic colors defining her face, so fantastic Kenzie!
@Kenzie Cakes thank-you for all the kind words and praise!! πΌβ€πΌ i love experimenting with colors from time to time!
