theme: this series is terrific as a whole project AND each piece individually too. your concept is clever and expertly executed. this one in
particular is my favorite. Nothing inspires the celebration of this life more than death. Life cannot exist without death. It brings balance
and regeneration. Choosing "crypts" for this piece was bold and clever. A provocative yet relatable topic. I personally love, respect, and
enjoy cemeteries. Crypts are one of many ways us living honor and remember our loved ones... our past. which is essential to hope &
progress in creating our future.
Palette: again, this is my favorite in the series. We know orange & black are traditional colors often associated with Halloween. Here you'v
you've used the alternative colors we also pair with Halloween. this sparks ideas of the after world, death, spooky graveyards, winter, etc.
You evoked all of that in your viewer just with your palette selection.
Background: as in each piece of this series, the background here is the true star. All original concepts & drawings. you remain excellent
at depicting realistic like and shadow. you are superb at manipulating digital photons.
a few of my favorite specifics.. 1.you've created both a beautiful landscape & skyscape. 2.❤🌳TREES🌳❤! and these are gorgeous on their own
but also as brilliant tools for depth & perspective. I love all trees but I have a soft spot for the exposed & leafless mangled branches of
winter. These trees are another layer of meaning in this "crypt" theme. they remind us that humans are not alone in death. that all things
in nature die & therefore we should regard it as a natural part of life.
3. Stone Art in the tombs, markers, mausoleum, etc. this is where your attention to detail shines brightest. your ability to be meticulous
is probably what wows us all the most. not just because it requires a rare level of restraint & patience. it also requires an "eye" that is
a mixture of naturally talented & developed through efforts, training, & practice. Symbolically, these stones are more than practical name
tags. Stones are part of Earth's regeneration & lifecycle. We carve and create beautiful objects from these bits of Earth to honor the dead
, inspire the grieving and bring peace & serenity to an otherwise sorrowful place.
